The Harrison County Farmers Market will open on Saturday, April 27th, 2013 from 8 am to noon. We will be only open on Saturdays during the month of April and May.

We operate from 8 am to noon on every Saturday until October.

We will also open the market on Wednesdays once there is an abundant supply of produce available.

As the play begins, Ken Gorman and his wife, Chris, arrive early at his client's anniversary party to find the house empty except for his client who is upstairs in the bedroom, face down in a pool of blood. The good news is it isn't as bad as it seems. The bad news is that the couple have to act like nothing is wrong, despite the fact that there is no food, no help and no hosts. As the guests continue to arrive, the stories told, assumed, implied and discovered become more and more tangled until the entire party finds themselves working together to hide what they do know . . .which they all agree isn't much.

Indiana’s free fishing weekend! All weekend long, Indiana residents may fish without a license! A Fishing Derby for ages 4 -12 will be on Saturday, June 1st starting at 6 pm, at Pine Pond. 
 

Southern Indiana Kennel Club (SIKC) will be hosting their 14th annual American Kennel Club (AKC) sanctioned all-breed dog shows on Saturday, June 1, and Sunday, June 2, 2013.. These shows offer competition in conformation, obedience and rally obedience classes.

Come hang out with us for a casual/family friendly car show. DJ music is playing from 5pm-9pm out on the patio. Listen to tunes from the 60's-70's as you enjoy your favorite burger or some of our fresh frozen custard.

Mark your calendars, St. Joseph Catholic Church's annual picnic this year will be on June 23rd, 2013. The picnic, which takes place at the Harrison County Fairgrounds in Corydon, Indiana, will now be on the 4th Sunday in June. 

St. Joseph will continue to serve their famous fried chicken dinners along with home made noodles, pies and other side items. There will also be offer games and raffles and a host of enjoyment for area families.

1800's Living Pioneer Farmstead Day on Saturday, July 6 & Sunday, July 7 from 10 am to 4 pm. Farmstead features a working blacksmith shop, pioneer home, tomahawk throws and pioneer demonstrations of all kinds. There will be an 1850 Hay Press demonstration from 1:00-1:30pm.

The blast of cannons and the piercing ring of reveille will punctuate southern Indiana’s countryside as soldiers reenact the famous Civil War Battle of Corydon, which originally took place July 9, 1863. Events, such as an on-field reenactment, demonstrations, an encampment and military ball are held at Hayswood Nature Reserve just a short distance from the historic battlefield. A special reenactment of Morgan’s Raid will gallop into downtown Corydon on Saturday at high noon, just as they did in 1863 with Confederate soldiers pillaging local shops, homes and buildings. In addition to the downtown raid and the Battle of Corydon Reenactment, other activities include a lecture on Civil War history by, none other than Abe Lincoln himself portrayed by Larry Elliot, a ladies tea, a lighthearted military ball, various historic demonstrations and a memorial service for the fallen soldiers.

Prior to the downtown Raid re-enactment at noon, children can make toy Civil War soldiers in the Capitol for $1.
